Neymar, a race towards the Champions

PSG has scheduled the return of Neymar this Sunday. After spending the Christmas holidays in Brazil, where he has continued with his rehabilitation on his left ankle, the winger is expected to return to the discipline of the Parisian team to continue with his set-up. Although the club has not ventured to set a deadline for its premiere in 2022, it is going to try to have its first minutes against Lille the first weekend of February.

Neymar was seriously injured at the end of November against Saint-Étienne and shortly after he left for Brazil with two PSG physiotherapists, Ricardo Rosa and Rafael Martini, who were in charge of monitoring the evolution of a footballer who has not been able to perform at his best level in this first part of the season. PSG, however, wants to go little by little with the player’s recovery process to avoid any relapse.

There is a date marked on the calendar: February 15th. The first leg of the knockout stages of the Champions League against Real Madrid. PSG works with the idea that by then Neymar is fully recovered. A crucial tie in the short term for the Parisian club. It worries, however, that a week before there are international commitments and Tite could call the former Barça player to face Ecuador and Paraguay. PSG is confident that it can be reserved for the European appointment.
