The last one was made public this Friday, when the 65-year-old Utrera coach was chosen as ‘Coach of the year 2020’ in Armenia, country of which he is currently his selector.
Caparrós obtained a total of 134 votes, surpassing with them to Vardan Bichakhchyan, Ararat Yerevan coach, who stayed at 50, and Rafael Nazaryan, responsible for the U-21, who reached 48. “Thank you very much for this recognition. I want to congratulate my entire coaching staff. Without them nothing would be possible ”, wrote Caparrós himself on Twitter thanking the award.
This 2020 has undoubtedly been a successful year for both Caparrós and Armenia, since despite the fact that said team did not qualify for the Eurocup, they did achieved promotion from League C to League B in the UEFA Nations League.
