Carlos Neva underwent surgery this Friday for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The operation of this serious ailment has been carried out by the medical services of Granada Club de Fútbol itself and has been led by the Surgeon Jose Luis Martin Sheriff.
The ‘rojiblanco’ left-back was injured during the Alavés-Granada match on the last day of the League and, once he has undergone surgery, he activates the countdown and starts the rehabilitation period prior to the specific recovery work that will take place during the next few months.
Carlos Neva will not return to the pitch until next season. The youth squad will miss the start of the 2022-23 academic year and is a significant loss for Torrecilla with a view to the decisive stretch of the current campaign.
With Quini sitting in the right lane, Escudero remains as the main option to occupy the left flank of the defense. The ex-Sevillista will have to assume the responsibility until June of exercising as a left-handed winger within the new system implemented by Torrecilla after his arrival on the bench.
