Negotiations between Conte and Tottenham break down

Negotiations between Antonio Conte and Tottenham seem to have come to an end. The Italian coach was the one chosen to take over the reins of the 'spurs' bench, but according to the English press his incorporation seems further away than ever after encountering insurmountable differences.

Apparently, the disagreements between both parties make a possible union impossible. Conte, the recent winner of Serie A with Inter, asked for guarantees to rebuild the team with a large budget for transfers, something that Daniel Levy, president of Tottenham, was not willing to provide.

There's also the Harry Kane issue. The Englishman wants a change of scene, but Conte would like to have him. If not possible, his idea would be to reinvest everything that is entered by him, an approach that the London club does not share.

Likewise, Conte's salary would also be a stumbling block for his incorporation. The Italian would have asked for a salary of 18 million euros, an unrealistic rate according to the club given the current economic situation.
