NBA names All-Star reserves, which include Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis

The reserves that were announced Thursday were chosen from the other players by coaches from each conference.
The starters were named last week for the all-star match in Indianapolis on February 18. The reserves will follow them.
Fans, players, and the media all voted on who would start. Adam Silver, the commissioner of the NBA, will choose someone else to go if he can’t.
Julius Randle, a forward for the New York Knicks who is out with a dislocated shoulder, is one of the Eastern Conference reserves.
The Knicks said Thursday that he will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks, which means that he might not be able to play in the All-Star game.
The NBA named the reserves for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game on Thursday night. The annual event will be held in Indianapolis on February 18, 2024. Adam Silver, the commissioner of the NBA, is likely to replace several players in the Eastern Conference who are hurt.
During the NBA tip-off show before the Los Angeles Lakers-Boston Celtics game, Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson Jr., Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley read out loud the Western Conference as well as Eastern Conference reserves.
The NBA confirmed last week that the game will have 10 starters, with five from each conference. These players will join them. The game will be staged in Indianapolis on February 18.
The East is made up of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, and Damian Lillard.
The West is made up of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Randle (shoulder) will not be able to play in the All-Star Game, and Embiid (knee), who is the league’s current MVP, is not likely to be able to play after hurting his lateral meniscus.
It’s still not clear who will coach both conferences, and it might not be clear until Sunday. If things go as planned over the next few days, the coaches in the East will either be from the Milwaukee Bucks or the New York Knicks.
With a win over the Indiana Pacers, the Knicks will be the All-Star coaches. This will happen if the Lakers and Bucks lose their games to the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz, respectively.

Mark Daigneault and the Thunder could win the award if they beat the Charlotte Hornets on Friday and the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. This is possible if Minnesota loses one of the games.
Tyson Lue and his Clippers staff will be coaching the game if LA beats both Detroit and Miami on Friday and Sunday. This is only the case if the Timberwolves and Thunder both lose.
Some of the most well-known players are in the Western Conference. Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors will play in Indiana during his 10th All-Star game. Devin Booker for the Phoenix Suns is playing in his fourth ASG. He didn’t cut last year.
