MADRID, 11 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Colombian cyclist Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team) will not be able to start this Tuesday the third stage of the Tour de Suisse, which takes place between Steinmaur and Rüschlikon over 161.7 kilometers, due to a hand injury suffered in a fall in the second stage.

“After his fall yesterday Monday during the second stage of the Tour de Suisse, and due to the pain he was suffering, Nairo underwent radiological tests last night,” the team explained in a statement.

As a result of that fall, Quintana suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal of his right hand. “The Colombian will continue treatment through immobilization and will not start today, Tuesday, in the 3rd stage,” the telephone team confirmed.
