“Being first captain is very special”

Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernández confessed a “very special” feeling for being the first captain of the club in his life, where “it is always worth renewing for another year”, willing to be a leader and the best possible teammate in an exciting season.
“We’re at home in Los Angeles. I’ve been at Real Madrid all my life, representing this club is the best. Being first captain is very special. I’ve worn this armband many times, but being first captain is what I feel and the responsibility. It’s something incredible, to fight and win titles,” he told the club’s media from Los Angeles this Saturday.
The Spanish international renewed one more season a month ago to turn 23 in the white house, a youth squad who this year will be captain. “Even if there are difficulties, it is always worth extending the contract for another year, I take it with the same enthusiasm as the first game.
