MADRID, 14 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) has published this Wednesday the list of the players most loyal to their clubs in the five major leagues, in which Iker Muniain, Óscar de Marcos and Jorge Resurrección 'Koke' are part of the 'Top 5' ' after accumulating 15 consecutive seasons at Athletic Club, in the case of the first two, and Atlético de Madrid, in the case of the Madrid native.

On the occasion of the traditional and popular 'Valentine's Day', the observatory has drawn up a list highlighting the footballers from 60 leagues around the world who have been in the first team squad of their current club for the longest uninterrupted time.

In the section of the five major European leagues, Iker Muniain, Óscar de Marcos and Koke are third, fourth and fifth, respectively, all of them with a total of 15 seasons with their respective clubs.

Ahead of them are only the Germans Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich) and Tony Jantschke (Borussia Mönchengladbach), both currently playing their sixteenth consecutive season with their Bundesliga teams.

Furthermore, the list of players from the five major leagues also includes the presence of Nacho Fernández (Real Madrid) and Sergi Roberto (FC Barcelona), both tied in eighth position with 13.5 seasons in their clubs, as well as Manu Trigueros (Villarreal) and Luka Modric (Real Madrid) in the 'Top 15' with 12 campaigns each.

In the rest of the European leagues surveyed, the Russian international goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev is the most faithful player with 21 years defending the goal of CSKA Moscow. His compatriot Rizvan Utsiev (Akhmat Grozny) and Scot Lewis Stevenson (Hivernian) complete the podium, with 19 campaigns each.
