Mourinho sees no major renovations at Tottenham

José Mourinho assures that Tottenham does not need major renovations in its squad. The Portuguese coach comments that the ‘spurs’ already have “important players”, a nucleus with which to reach great objectives.

“In this team, we have a lot of people of the right age, with the right quality and the right ambition,” Mourinho said on Sky Sports. “Then I would say that in three, four, five years, the team's base will continue to exist, with important players who are in the club now. So I say we don't need to make many changes. I think we have an important core of players, “he added.

Following his words, Tottenham do not think about making big investments this summer despite the team having a difficult time qualifying for the Champions League. Mourinho asked the fans for patience, eager to have a team that fights for everything.

“(Like some fans), I want too much too soon, but I think my realism is stronger with the experience. I think it is very important to be realistic, to be in control of the emotions and to understand that there is a process. I understand the ambitions of the followers, of course. I understand that people dream of the best things, they don't dream of the worst things, but it takes time, “said Mourinho.

“The good thing is that we are all together in the club. We are all very stable, very realistic, with a lot of experience and we are going to get there, ”said the Portuguese.
