More than 51,500 tickets sold for Barça-City in favor of ELA

MADRID, 17 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The match between FC Barcelona and Manchester City on August 24 at 9:30 p.m. at the Spotify Camp Nou, in solidarity and in favor of the fight against ALS, has already sold more than 51,500 tickets.

Barça and City will play a friendly duel in tribute to solidarity, in favor of the cause of exporter and coach Juan Carlos Unzué, who was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) more than two years ago.

Tickets went on sale last June and, so far, more than 51,500 seats have already been sold, although a large ticket is expected for the duel between Barça and City, between Xavi and Pep Guardiola on the bench.

“The great objective is to fill the Spotify Camp Nou next August 24 and achieve the highest collection ever achieved for the benefit of the fight against ALS,” assured the Blaugrana club.

THE LUZÓN FOUNDATION WILL BE THE BENEFICIARY

Francisco Luzón was diagnosed with ALS in 2014 and created the Luzón Foundation with the purpose of helping find a cure for this terrible disease, uniting all the agents involved in this goal.

The foundation works to raise funds to be used for research and to improve the quality of life of people with ALS and their families, together with associations of patients, researchers and healthcare professionals.

The objectives pursued by the Luzón Foundation are to raise awareness of ALS in society in order to give visibility to the disease, reduce diagnosis times, improve medical treatment and the quality of socio-assistance care, and promote research to find a cure.
