MADRID, 2 Apr. (SportsFinding) –
Levante added three points of faith (2-0) this Saturday on matchday 30 of LaLiga Santander at the expense of an unknown Villarreal and thanks to a double by José Luis Morales, while Mallorca remains in the relegation places with their defeat (1-0) against Getafe.
The ‘granota’ team came back strong after the international break and outperformed a ‘submarine’ far from its best version. Despite being a derby, at the Ciutat Unai Emery’s team showed the bad version of him away from home, perhaps with his mind already in his Champions duel against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Levante put together a round game, without oversights and forceful in both areas, while Villarreal suffered its third defeat in four games, a lot toll for the European fight in the classification. Morales was once again ‘Comandante’ and led his team with two great goals in the final stretch, in a ‘granota’ message that until he is a mathematician they will fight for salvation.
In minute 69, Morales teamed up with Roger for the 1-0. A connection that has been bearing fruit for a decade and that shone again this Saturday, with a pass and definition of carats. Already in the discount, Morales once again showed off to round off an afternoon of joy for a Levante that looks five points from salvation marked by Cádiz (27), although with one more game.
In the aperitif session, Getafe and Mallorca signed a difficult match to digest, in which the best was long in coming, in the 82nd minute, and it was for the azulones interests. Borja Mayoral made it 1-0, in connection with Gonzalo Villar, who broke a game of trenches, with five defenders and a trivote in the center for both teams.
For Quique Sánchez Flores’ team, it means three relief points, to add 32, after six days without winning. Mallorca, on the other hand, remains in its crisis of seven straight defeats, in which Javier Aguirre made his debut on his bench, scoring relegation with 26 points.
