Mino Raiola dies at the age of 54

The representative of Dutch soccer players Mino Raiola, agent of players such as Erling Haaland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Paul Pogba, has died this Saturday in Milan (Italy) at the age of 54, his family has confirmed through a statement.

“It is with infinite sorrow that we announce the passing of Mino, the most extraordinary agent that ever lived. Mino fought with all his might until the last moment, just as he did to defend the players. And once again he made us proud.” , said his family in a letter published on the social networks of the ill-fated agent.

Raiola, of Italian origin and raised in Haarlem (The Netherlands), had been hospitalized for months in a hospital in the transalpine city, accusing serious lung problems that have finally caused his death.

“Mino has been part of the lives of many players and has written an indelible chapter in the history of modern football. We will miss him forever and his project of making football a better place for players will continue with the same passion. We will be grateful sincerely to those who have been close to him and ask everyone to respect the privacy of family and friends at this time of great pain.”

Among his representatives in decades of career are names like Zlatan Ibrahimovic -whom he took to FC Barcelona-, Erling Haaland, Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Mario Balotelli, Marco Verratti or Matthijs de Ligt.
