Millman stops Verdasco at the Astana Open in Nursultán

Australian John Millman, fourth seed, beat Fernando Verdasco, 6-2, 6-4 in 62 minutes, cutting off the Spaniard's career in the second round of the Astana tournament.

The solidity of the serve of the “aussie” player who saved the four break points that Verdasco had, was key in the defeat of the Madrid player who had been successful in the first round against another Australian, James Duckworth.

Kukushkin comes back against Delbonis and meets Paire

Kazakh Mikhail Kukushkin beat Argentine Federico Delbonis 6-7 (5), 6-3 and 6-2 in the first round of the Astana tennis tournament.

In 2 hours and 32 minutes the local player signed his comeback, victorious in his coming out of the tournament.

Delbonis, number 76 in the world ranking, he took the first set in the tiebreaker 7-6 (5), but did not find the formula to close the match.
