Milan is boring but remains in the lead

Milan complied with an inoffensive Genoa and remains leader of Serie A enduring harassment from Inter, who had put pressure on the ‘rossoneri’ after beating Spezia and had provisionally swiped first place.

It wasn’t the best game for the team led by Stefano Pioli, but it doesn’t matter. Victory without boasting to add three important points in the fight for the title. The Milan team made a difference thanks to Rafael Leao and sentenced in the final stretch with another goal from Junior Messias.

Junior Messias put on some grace by making the second go up when the game was already celebrating the end (87′).

With this win, Milan climbs back into first place with two points more than Inter, who have a match still to be played.
