The imminent freedom of the Brazilian footballer, sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexually assaulting a young woman in a Barcelona nightclub, has raised eyebrows on social networks. Many well-known faces (and also anonymous ones) have cried out for the resolution of the Barcelona Court despite having kept Dani Alves in prison for the last 14 months due to a high flight risk. Mercedes Dear has been one of the first to explode and put words to an injustice that many think: “If you pay a million euros you can rape.”
The Catalan presenter was not the only one to give her opinion on the judges’ controversial decision. The Blonde Neighborwho has three million followers on Instagram, has posted: “There is no money in the world that will pay for the insecurity and helplessness that the victim must have knowing that their attacker is calmly on the street. It is totally unfair.”
