The tennis player John McEnroe has praised this Wednesday the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, current number one in the world and “the best player” that the American has seen “at his age”, assuring that he wants to see more duels between the Murcian and the Serbian Novak Djokovic, after the final of the Cincinnati Masters 1,000.
“What Alcaraz has done in the last year is incredible. He has put himself in a position where he is talked about in the same way as Novak and Rafa (Nadal) in an incredible way,” said the extenista in statements to Eurosport .
McEnroe was full of praise for Carlos Alcaraz, stopping at his brilliant start as a professional tennis player, for what he considers to be “the best player” he has seen “at his age.” “It’s unbelievable how good he already is. Novak is unbelievable how good he continues to be,” he added.
