Marta Torrejón: “I hope to see a better Barça than last year”

Jonatan Giráldez: “We still don’t have all the players”

BARCELONA, 10 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The FC Barcelona player Marta Torrejón showed her desire to see “a better team than last year” thanks to the new signings, who must adapt to the Barça team “calmly” when arriving from different places.

“The preseasons are intense and hard. It is the work that makes you grow throughout the year. The incorporations come little by little, as is normal once the Eurocup is over. Now we are building the team for the next season” , explained Marta Torrejón this Wednesday at the team’s ‘Media Day’ in its preparation in the Vall d’en Bas.

The ‘culé’ player highlighted the adaptation of the new signings. “If you have any discomfort, let them know about it because this is a job with a long career and it is important to prepare the course with your head,” she pointed out.

For his part, the coach of the Catalan team, Jonatan Girález, acknowledged that the squad is not closed. “We don’t have all of them yet, which doesn’t allow us to get to things that we may need during the season,” he explained.

“We have good feelings for the predisposition and ambition of the players to try to improve day by day,” he added. For this reason, Giráldez highlighted the preparation at the Vall d’en Bas stage. “The fact of being in these facilities helps us prepare for the start of the course in the best conditions,” he said.

In the case of defender Laia Codina, who will be part of the Barça team after returning from her loan at AC Milan, she highlighted her joy at being one of the members of the squad. “I feel as if I had not left, it is the most important thing, to feel at home. We are getting better and better, carrying training and gym, the toll we have to pay for the season to go well,” she sentenced.
