Olympique Marseille came back from AL Lorient, met again with the victory (4-1) and placed third in a Ligue 1 that Paris Saint-Germain clearly leads after ten games played.
The Argentine Jorge Sampaoli team, who still has the match against Nice pending, left the pothole behind. He faced the duel played at the Vélodrome after three games without winning and two consecutive defeats, but with the visit of Lorient he won again.
Lorient advances from a penalty
Marseille recovered to the initial setback, before the quarter of an hour, when a foul inside the area of the Brazilian defender Luan Peres was sanctioned with a penalty that Armand Lauriente transformed, beating the Spanish goal Pau López.
Sampaoli’s team equalized in the 27th minute after Boubacar Kamara took advantage of a pass from Matteo Guendouzi to score.
Guendouzi double
Guendouzi, with a double, was key in the victory of Marseille. He made it 2-1 in the 56th minute by beating Paul Nardi with a header after a corner kick from Dimitri Payet. Five minutes from the end, the Polish Arkadisuz Milik rounded off the victory after another pass from Payet and in the added Guendouzi repeated and closed the win.
The triumph shoots Olympique Marseille in the table now in third place, one point behind second, Lens and ten from Paris Saint-Germain.
