MADRID, 9 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Andalusian athlete Maribel Pérez made history this Sunday by breaking by two hundredths the Spanish record of 60 meters, held by Sandra Myers since 1990, with a 7.21 in Antequera.
The Sevillian wrote her own page on national speed stopping the clock at 7.21 in her first competition of the winter. Pérez warned in the semifinals, with 7.26, and an hour later he signed a perfect and record career.
Already with the minimum for the Belgrade Indoor World Championship (7.30) in her pocket (from March 18 to 20), Maribel signed the best race of a Spanish sprinter over 60 meters from an explosive start and a powerful stride down the straight center of the Antequera Athletics Technification Center.
