In this edition, the Fundación España Activa has awarded the 'Sports and Professional Career' award to the athletes Álvaro Martín and María Pérez, in recognition of their gold medals at the Budapest World Cup and their track record of success based on effort. and overcoming.

The 'Area of ​​Research, Innovation and Dissemination' category has recognized the Gasol Foundation for its research work, specifically for the development and implementation of the 'Steps' Study, an investigation that has provided objective scientific evidence on the level of physical activity of children between 8 and 16 years of age and their families, as well as the association between weight status, lifestyles and social and environmental determinants.

The Paralympic brand of the Spanish Paralympic Committee has been awarded in the category 'Promotion of physical activity and sport from the initiative of the public and private sectors' because with its purpose it has managed to unite athletes, sponsors, federations, media and institutions and generate a feeling of family, benefiting the promotion of sport for people with disabilities, facilitating their recovery and self-esteem, with equal opportunities and giving athletes the relevance as social references that they deserve.

Europe Active has received the award for 'Promotion of physical activity and sport from the private sector' for its outstanding career throughout all these years in which, tirelessly, it has fought against inactivity and sedentary lifestyle throughout Europe , creating a network with all stakeholders in the sector and giving visibility to our objectives.
