Her ashes will rest in Malaga, her beloved land.
On behalf of María Jiménez, she was buried this Friday in the San Fernando cemetery in Seville. Her remains were taken for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the Sevillian neighborhood of Triana, fulfilling her last wishes. The streets of the Seville capital have cried for the brilliant artist but they have also sung in her honor in front of her coffin. More than 30,000 people passed through the burning chapel that was installed in the town hall.
