Marc Márquez: “Today I started to feel the bike more and run at my own pace”

MADRID, 7 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda), already recovered from his right arm operation, completed this Wednesday the second day of the Misano Test with 61 laps, for which he showed his happiness after a “satisfactory” day after “so much time ” out where he “began” to feel “more” the bike.

“It was a very satisfying test for me, especially because after so much time away it wasn’t easy yesterday. Today I started to feel the bike more and run at my own pace, and this has allowed me to test some different components for Honda ahead of the future,” said the eight-time Moto GP world champion.

The second day has allowed him to continue adding kilometers on his RC213V and assess his physical condition to help define the progression of the bike. Thus, the oldest of the Márquez family completed 61 laps, being one of the last drivers to finish.

“The most important thing has been how my arm has recovered between the two days and, despite the fact that it has cost me in the end, it is what the doctors and physiotherapists expected. We will see how the recovery goes in the next few days to see what are the next steps”, indicated the one from Cervera after finishing thirteenth in the combined time table and being the best Honda.

For his part, Pol Espargaró, who will not continue next season with the Japanese team, finished behind his teammate and completed another 67 laps on Wednesday for a total of 117 in the two days of testing.

“Today we rode well in the morning and even with wrist pain I was able to find a better rhythm. In the afternoon I was very tired and I had to control the brake a lot with my wrist. We stopped a little earlier for this reason, but even so they have been two good days”, sentenced.
