“The result of this Grand Prix has been the culmination of the new approach that we are adopting and that we started at Silverstone. We are trying to understand many things about the bike and avoid crashes, we finally finished on a Sunday,” Márquez told the official media of the Repsol Honda team.

“At one point in the race my times were pretty good, but I was the only one on the soft rear tyre. It’s good to finish a race, but obviously we’re aiming for more and we have to keep working. It’s been a busy weekend here. in Austria and now we will see what is possible to do in Montmeló”, concluded Márquez.

His teammate, Joan Mir, lamented his fall and the consequent abandonment. “I’m not happy about today, I thought we were having a solid weekend for our situation. It’s a shame to crash and lose more laps. I had something on the brakes and I went long, losing the front end,” he described about his incident.

“When you’re riding on the limit and you have a little problem, it’s hard to stay on the bike. The positive thing is that I’ve been able to fight with Marc all weekend and I haven’t been as far behind as in previous races. We’ve also improved our confidence , so we have to keep this feeling in the next races,” Mir said.
