Marbella dismisses José Manuel Aira

José Manuel Aira is no longer a Marbella coach. The club has made its dismissal official in a brief official note where he appreciates “the honesty and honesty with which he has faced the current sporting situation of the first team from the first day he arrived at this entity.” His assistants Óscar Sánchez and Mario Saldúa also leave the entity looking for a new coach.

Aira signed for Marbella with the sole objective of promoting him to the Second Division. “I want to make a recognizable team” he declared on the day of his presentation. The project went awry almost from minute one. First the first three squares moved away and then the intermediate zone. Marbella confirmed its descent to the fourth category of Spanish football (Second RFEF) and will begin the next phase in a delicate situation so as not to go down another step, in this case to Third RFEF, the fifth national category.

The crisis is total. Marbella is having a shameful season despite the fact that his budget and ambitions destined him to higher levels. The fans have shown their amazement, discomfort and concern over the plummeting of an ocean liner that has sunk like a paper boat.
