Many doubts in the rojiblanca key and a single certainty

The story is well known at this stage of the game. What should have been the story of the meeting between Atlético Madrid and Athletic in the Wanda Metroplitano became at times a chronicle of events loaded with a good dose of intrigue. The first question, long before the final suspension of the match was confirmed, revolved around whether or not the lawn of the new mattress stadium had heating to melt the snow.

Later, with the certainty that the previous one was not going to be any problem given the existence of the pertinent mechanism; the uncertainty moved to the Loiu airport. Would the plane of the lions leave or not?

The flight departed for Madrid, although with a little more than an hour delay. Once in the air, the reasonable doubt moved to Barajas. Was it going to be possible or not to land at said airport? The aircraft, on the recommendation of its commander, turned around bound for Bilbao after spending around twenty minutes around the state capital. The state of the Barajas tracks, in the middle of a snowstorm, did not invite to force any landing.

The chapter of unknowns, despite everything, did not end once the Athletic expedition set foot in Loiu minutes before twelve at night. The new question then was none other than what will happen tomorrow. There will or will not be a game. Marcelino, the players and the rest of the members of the rojiblanca delegation went to sleep without knowing it. In the morning they received the order to go and train Lezama because the match had been suspended.

The chapter on unknowns, even so, is still open. Now we have to wait and see what day this postponed Atlético-Athletic is played.
