Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’ fights for the first time with his father in the stands

Since the long-awaited reunion between father and son took place last March, Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’ has boasted of how happy he is to be able to spend time with Manuel Benítez. Facing the most special season of his career, in which he says goodbye to the squares, one of his dreams was that his father would accompany him. Well today, March 18, the long-awaited day arrived.

Manuel Benítez arrived at the Morón de la Frontera square accompanied by Mª Ángeles, his partner, as well as Virginia Troconis. The family got out of the car smiling and expectant for the great afternoon they were going to live. The bullfighter had assured that he was very happy to be able to see his son fight in such a special bullring, which he himself had inaugurated years before.

Inside the square, Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’ was preparing to shine like no other afternoon, making his father proud of him. The bullfighter went around the ring with both ears that he showed his father, who applauded him happily along with Mª Ángeles and Virginia. Later, he returned to get another two ears and a tail, which he proudly showed his relatives again.

Throughout the day, he dedicated one of his bulls to his father. Manuel Benítez was surprised and stood up, proud of the gesture that his son had had. Something that happened just one day before the Father’s Day holiday. The bullfighter threw the montera at his father who, due to his nerves, did not catch it and caused the audience to laugh.

The afternoon ended in style, with everyone smiling and happy to have been part of such a special day and so full of emotions. Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’ can already say that he has fought for his father and now all that remains is to know if he will accompany him on the rest of his tour of Spain in the coming months.
