Málaga presents its ‘MCF Campus Semana Santa’

Málaga has presented its ‘MCF Semana Santa Campus’ at the initiative of the Málaga Club de Fútbol Foundation and the Provincial Council and that also involves the municipalities of Coin, Rincón de la Victoria and Cuevas Bajas.

Cristóbal Ortega: Deputy for Sports, explained the details of the event. “We are launching this beautiful initiative, the Easter Campuses that will be from April 10 to 13 in Coin, Rincón de la Victoria in Cuevas Bajas. The goal is to bring Malaguismo to the province of Malaga, among the people who are furthest from La Rosaleda, increase the fans and give it the boost it needs, now more than ever. It is a bet that has been going on for several seasons and is now certified with the support of the ‘Sabor a Málaga’ brand. It is key that we are all united, the province and all the fans to support the club that is doing a great job and effort this season. It is true that you are in a complicated situation that no one wants due to different circumstances. But that is not an excuse not to support the team”. Ortefa commented that in each of these municipalities there will be 100 children.

Francisco Santos, mayor of Coin: “We value this initiative so that the youngest can get closer to Malaguismo. In our town we have many children who enjoy our sports schools. For the clubs it is good to have a good academy. The quarries are not only nurtured in the capital but in all the towns. Coin has contributed and we remember Juanmi, who went through this club and is now at Betis. We have a Malaguista supporters club in Coín”.

Manuel Lara, mayor of Cuevas Bajas: ““This is a great initiative that means for inland municipalities like mine that Malaguismo can come and that all these young people feel the passion for the club. These campuses give equality to those boys and girls that we have in small towns like mine in the interior and that give them the opportunity to feel like Malaguistas”.

Antonio José Martin Councilor for Sports of Rincón de la Victoria. “We have a strong sports base with so many athletes that we have in Rincón, la Cala, Bejagalbón. It will be a unique opportunity for all these children to feel more Malaguistas”.

Lucas Rodríguez, coordinator of the Málaga Club de Fútbol Foundation. “We feel the support of the Provincial Council. It fills us with hope that our young Malaguistas are establishing themselves in a campus of values. It is very important that the work that Malaga is doing in the province has an effect on these young boys who are the future. It is a campus in which there will be a very important learning.

In addition to the judicial administrator, José María Muñoz, the sports director, Manolo Gaspar, and soccer players such as Kevin, who is the image of this initiative and Javier Jimenez.
