Málaga announces the renewal until 2023 of Ismael Casas, another of its jewels

Málaga has announced the renewal of Ismael Casas (Linares-Jaén- 7-3-2001) until the 2022-23 season. Another good move by the sports management that manages to tie one of its most promising players forged in La Academia. Ismael had a commitment until June 30, 2022. That is, another year.

According to El Desmarque Málaga the club has ensured the continuity of this player by automatically executing a renewal stipulated in his contract after playing ten games with the first team, understanding each match to have participated in at least 45 minutes in each of them. This is common in youth squad agreements. Ismael celebrates his last year of youth.

Several teams, and especially Granada, were closely following this footballer. It so happens that a few months ago, the Los Cármenes club signed another squad player for 1.5 million euros who had just renewed his goals with Málaga, Antoñín.

Manel Casanova, quarry director already deceased and his then assistant Francesc Arnau (today Oviedo's sports director) discovered him when he was 12 years old. Although he started playing as a central defender, only three years ago Álex Acejo, coach of San Félix (a youth team linked to Málaga) converted him to winger. Admirer of Carles Puyol and Dani Carvajal, he debuted with Malaga in Santander (first day). Since then he has played eleven matches and in the last against Deportivo revived those origins with outstanding success as a central defender.
