Malaga has announced the renewal of Roberto until 2025. The Cordoba forward, one of the players with the best future not only in the Blue and White team but also in Spanish football, will have a clause of eight million euros that will increase to 16 in the event of promotion to the First Division.
The club has executed in this renewal a condition stipulated in the contract, that of having played 45 minutes in each of the five games. In total he accumulates 409 minutes spread over 10 games and has scored a goal. Roberto is the second youth squad to renew this season after Kevin.

Roberto Fernández Jaén (Puente Genil, Córdoba, 2002) has grown exponentially in recent seasons at La Academia MCF. In 18-19 he joined the quarry as a youth, and it is last year when he exploits his scoring facet being a key part of the Juvenil ‘A’ regional league champion who sneaks among the four best in Spain. Roberto, between the League and the Champions Cup, reaches twenty goals and forms a spectacular offensive duo with Loren Zúñiga.
Without having made his debut at Club Atlético Malagueño, even with a subsidiary license, the ’39’ Malaguista debuts with the first team in LaLiga SmartBank 21/22 on the opening day of the championship (Málaga CF 0-0 CD Mirandés). So far, Roberto has participated in a dozen games with a remarkable performance and a goal scored, against Ibiza, which allowed him to add a valuable point in Ibiza.
