Málaga and Espanyol also negotiate the loan of Vadillo

The search for reinforcements in Malaga is progressing at a good pace. The most significant progress has been with the candidates to reinforce the spinal cord, especially Aleix Febas. But the midfielders are not the only objectives with which Manolo Gaspar is approaching positions. Another footballer who occupies a preferential place on the agenda of the Blue and White sports director and with whom there are open negotiations is Álvaro Vadillo.

The Puerto Real winger, like Fran Mérida, is not counting on minutes at Espanyol and aims to achieve a start in January that allows him to enjoy minutes and regain the prominence and level of previous campaigns. The relations between Málaga and the perico club are excellent. Proof of this are the operations of Keidi Bare and Víctor Gómez.

Up to now, Vadillo has only participated in three league matches, playing only 4 official minutes so far this season. Hence, both the player and Espanyol consider finding a new destination a priority for the coming months. The negotiation, from the outset, presents some edge less than that of Fran Mérida, although it does not seem simple either. The winger has a contract with Espanyol until 2024 after the Catalan club was forced to execute a purchase option of 1.8 million after achieving promotion to First Division.

The footballer’s salary is of certain consideration and for there to be an agreement, the negotiation will have to be fitted within the economic limitations that Málaga has. The Martiricos club has in its favor the good predisposition of the player to visit La Rosaleda. In fact, during the summer there were already contacts and the agreement was quite close, but the operation was ruined with the entrance on the scene of Ontiveros, who ended up giving the scared and going to Osasuna.

At La Rosaleda they believe that Vadillo can regain his best level at Málaga and they will rush all the options to try to join the project.
