Madrid Urban Sports returns to the institutes for the third year to promote physical activity among young people

The festival of sports and urban culture ‘Madrid Urban Sports’ will celebrate its third edition from June 16 to 18, for which reason the previous training sessions have already begun in the institutes of the capital, to promote the practices of urban disciplines among young people from Madrid, according to a statement from the City Council.

The 2nd ESO students of the IES Gran Capitán attended the master classes this Tuesday given by some of the best skaters and breakers in the world. The youngsters enjoyed the tricks and skills of these two types of Olympic sports at the hands of Álvaro Valades, Kini González and Pedro Sánchez, in skateboarding, and David Fernández, Rubén Ortiz and José Antonio Fernández, in ‘breakdancing’.

All of them encouraged the students to get started in urban sports and to carry out any sporting activity, in an activity that was attended by the acting Councilor for Sports, Sofía Miranda, and the acting councilor for the Arganzuela district, Cayetana Hernández from the river

This activity is part of the celebration of Madrid Urban Sports (MUS), the sports and urban culture festival organized by the Madrid City Council with the support of the Madrid Business Forum. The festival, which this year reaches its third edition, will be held in Madrid Río-Matadero from June 16 to 18.
