Madrid surpasses Barça in the UEFA ranking and takes second place

Madrid have risen two positions in the last update of the UEFA ranking (classification based on the results of the Champions League and the Europa League of the last five seasons). The whites have gone from fourth place, which they occupied since last year, to second place. The ranking is still led by Bayern Munich, with 132 points. Madrid has 124 points.

Madrid has risen both positions to the detriment of Juventus and Barcelona. The Catalans, who were second, fall to third position after their poor performances in the Champions League in recent seasons. They have been penalized considerably by the elimination in which they have suffered this season in the round of 16 against PSG. The same has happened to Juventus. The Italians fall from third place to fourth after being felled by Porto in the same round as Barcelona.

Atlético de Madrid, meanwhile, raised its score from 108 to 115, but fell from fifth to sixth. The Seville is the other Spanish team that sneaks into the top ten teams in Europe, but it also goes back one position. Go from the ninth to the tenth.
