'Madrid' asks for responsibility

Delegation of the Government, Community of Madrid and City Council of the capital has called on the people of Madrid to take responsibility in the celebrations for the title of the football league season that will be resolved this Saturday.

From the institution that directs Mercedes Gonzalez Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid fans have been called to responsibility for the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The acting Minister of Justice, Interior and Victims, Enrique Lopez, has been pronounced in the same sense. “The pandemic continues and people continue to die in our hospitals. There will be time for celebrations, now it's time to be responsible,” he wrote in a message on social networks.

The City Council, for its part, has called for individual responsibility to avoid crowds. Both the mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, as the delegate of Security, Inmaculada Sanz, have asked the fans prudence when celebrating the league title.

The vice mayor of the capital, Begoña Villacís, has demanded that the “example of responsibility” prevail that characterized the league celebration last season by the Real Madrid fans. “I'm sure that if Atlético wins they will do exactly the same thing,” he said at the opening of 'Los sábados del Rastro'.

Some 600 National Police officers make up the special security device on the occasion of sports celebrations, to which we must add the municipal agents, sources from the Government Delegation in Madrid informed Europa Press today.

8 groups from the Police Intervention Unit (2 of them come from outside Madrid), the Cavalry, the Information Brigade and the district police stations will intervene in the device.
