MADRID, 29 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku confirmed on Wednesday his return to Inter Milan -on loan from Chelsea- following the three-way deal that will allow the international striker to play in Serie A during the 2022-23 season.
Lukaku, who left Inter in the 2021-22 season to sign for Chelsea, is now returning to what was his home for the previous two years. Despite not enjoying his best year at Stamford Bridge, the striker finished the season as the Blues’ top scorer with 15 goals.
“Romelu Lukaku will play the 2022-23 campaign with Inter Milan after completing a one-season loan from Chelsea,” said the London club, which did not offer further details about the agreement with the Italian entity, where he scored 64 goals in the two seasons he wore the ‘neroazzurri’ shirt.
Inter, who welcomed Lukaku on social media, also posted a video of the player saying he is “very happy” to complete his journey back to Milan.
