MADRID, 28 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Slovenian point guard Luka Doncic signed another night to remember at the statistical level in the NBA by signing an unprecedented ‘triple-double’ in the history of the American league with 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in the victory of the Dallas Mavericks by 126-121 against the New York Knicks.
The former Real Madrid player, who was also in charge of forcing overtime, achieved something that statistically nobody had been able to achieve in the NBA: a ‘triple-double’ of at least 60 points and 20 rebounds. As indicated by the NBA, only James Harden had come close to this possibility in 2018 when he achieved it with 60 points, but then with 10 assists and 11 rebounds.
In addition, Doncic was the protagonist of the eighth ‘triple-double’ with more than 50 points, but the point guard is the only one who has been able to do it so young, with 23 years and 302 days, clearly surpassing the legendary Wilt Chamberlain (26 years and 176 days). He also surpassed the franchise scoring record, which had been held by German Dirk Nowitzki with 53 points since 2004.
