Luis Suárez, a fearsome Pichichi for the Celta defense

Luis Suárez is sweet. The Uruguayan striker has rediscovered his best version after having overcome the coronavirus and every time he sees the bigger goal. The Pichichi of LaLiga (14 goals in 16 games), has only needed 20 shots on target for some capital figures to see Atlético in the first place in LaLiga (last season the team's top scorer was Morata with 12 goals).

Since the defeat in the derby against Real Madrid, Atlético have achieved eight consecutive league victories with nine goals from Suárez. Five of them in the last three days, with two doublets in the visits to Alavés and Cádiz. Now he receives a Celtic whose measure he has taken. In the first leg he already saw the door as rojiblanco to open the scoring in a match ended 0-2. Assisted by Manu Sánchez, he scored his third goal as an athletic man after the double on the first match against Granada.

Suárez's ability against Celta comes from afar. In Barcelona he scored seven goals in ten games, despite the fact that the celestial players always made things difficult for the Blaugranas in Balaídos. It debuted with a stellar performance in 2016, with a hat-trick and two assists in the 6-1 victory. He would score again in 2017 with a goal in the draw at Camp Nou and would make a double in the draw in Vigo last season, the last one at Barcelona.

Now, Suárez wants to continue the streak in a match where neither João Félix, his great partner, nor Dembélé are available, their natural replacement on the staff, after they have contracted the coronavirus. The Uruguayan will have Correa as a partner in the attack, a player with whom he also understands perfectly. In front of him will be the Celta of a Iago Aspas whom Suárez knows perfectly after sharing a dressing room at Liverpool.
