Río Breogán and coach Luis Casimiro Palomo Cárdenas reached an agreement this Wednesday for the coach to lead the Lugo team, replacing the dismissed Veljko Mrsic.
The Endesa League team celebrates the arrival of one of the most experienced coaches in ACB, having directed 757 games in the highest category of Spanish basketball. Casimiro lands in Río Breogán with the bottom team in the league with two victories in nine games.
Trained at CB Puertollano, in the 1992-93 season he had his first experience at CB Breogán as assistant to Ricardo Hevia and has gone through great national basketball benches with an ACB league title in the 1997/98 season with TDK Manresa and an Endesa Super Cup directing Gran Canaria in the 2016/17 season.
“Luis Casimiro will immediately join Río Breogán, he is scheduled to lead his first training session this Thursday, after which he will be presented at a press conference, and he will be able to lead his first match as coach of the light blue team on his trip to Gran Canaria” , adds the statement.
