MADRID, 7 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Italian MotoGP rider Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) lamented the changing conditions at the Marco Simoncelli circuit, with “much less grip” during the sprint race, on a “tough” day for Honda, so they must “keep working”.
“The track conditions have changed a lot today. In the morning the grip was very good, even for us, where it is usually one of our weak points. In the race, however, with the higher temperature, the grip has been lower,” analysed the Italian in statements shared by Repsol.
Marini admitted that the performance of the rear tyre fell “more than I expected” in the sprint race on the Misano track. “Overall, it was a tough day and we have to keep working to see what we can do for tomorrow’s main race,” said the Italian, who finished 18th in the sprint after starting 21st.
