Lorenzo Santolino wins the third stage of the Dakar

MADRID, 7 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish pilot Lorenzo Santolino (Sherco) won this Tuesday in the third stage of the Dakar Rally 2025, of 963 total kilometers and 327 special kilometers from Bisha to Al Henakiyab, in the motorcycle category to achieve his first partial victory in this race.

The 37-year-old from Salamanca was the fastest and arrived 1:21 before the South African Bradley Cox (KTM), on a podium of the day completed by the American Ricky Brabec (Honda), at 4:01. It is the Spaniard’s first stage victory in seven participations. “Finally stage victory, incredible to have won today, quite technical stage, many stones from the beginning to kilometer 100, I tried to attack a lot, very focused on navigation,” Santolino said.

“The last 150 kilometers alternated very fast areas with slightly technical areas, a lot of navigation, many crossings, I started to push ahead and was super happy after having attacked so much during the day. There were some risks, but it was worth the effort. Thank you to Sherco, to all my sponsors and above all to my family, to my mother who has guided me a little at some crossroads, to continue,” he said in statements provided by his press team.
