López Toca and Sagués Oskoz tie it up in Almería-Leganés

López Toca (on the pitch) and Sagués Oskoz (on the VAR) starred in one of the busiest referees so far this season in the Second Division. It happened in the tie to one between Almería and Leganés. The arbitration decisions conditioned a match that was resolved in the 99th minute with a penalty goal by Juan Muñoz for Leganés. It was the epilogue to a crazy afternoon.

The game began with the rigorous expulsion of Rubén Pérez. An inning on a split ball with Lazo that ended in yellow. But Sagués Oskoz warned López Toca that it could be something else. He went to see it on the monitor and decided to re-arbitrate it as red, to the rage of a Lega who protested to exhaustion. In his discomfort he was joined Mario Suárez, Rayo midfielder, who on Twitter made his surprise clear. “They are loading football … The entrance of Rúben Pérez is not red in life … ”, he wrote.

Leganés resisted and in the second part came the complaints from Almería. First, for two penalties claimed from Sadiq. The first, from Omeruo. The second, from Bustinza. Although the greatest anger came already in the addition. The referee had indicated three more minutes, but lengthened the duel even more.

With 1-0 already on the scoreboard (Morlanes scored in 92 '), in 95', Bustinza went for a ball in the area and collided with Maras. The Serbian central defender, in his attempt to clear, extended his arm and hit Bustinza in the face. “I would not have whistled anything, it is a clash and it is football. It is not that play in which you jump and throw your elbow because you see that one is coming. It is Bustinza, in fact, who is pouncing on the Almería player,” said Iturralde González , referee of AS and Carrusel Deportivo.

The fact is that Sagués Oskoz again asked López to go and see him. And so he did. After the review, he noted a penalty to local outrage, who claimed that it was not a maximum penalty and that the time was up. Juan Muñoz marked from eleven meters the launch without time for more. Just after the end of a match marked by the referee was whistled.
