Albacete Balompié has reported that Aritz Lopez Garai He is the new coach of the Albacete team to direct it until the end of the season and that will sit on the local bench this Saturday in the game against Sabadell that takes place at Carlos Belmonte.
López Garai will already direct the training this afternoon with his new players with his second coach, Cristian Bustos, and its official presentation will take place tomorrow, at 12 noon, on the Carlos Belmonte lawn once the training of the first team is finished in the stadium, as the club has reported on its website.
The Basque coach has ua long career as a footballer, since he has played more than 500 games as a professional, in teams such as Córdoba CF, CD Castellón, UD Salamanca, Real Sporting or Celta de Vigo, among others.
After having played in the bronze, silver and First Division categories, López Garai hung up his boots in the summer of 2017 to become a coach.
López Garai retired in the summer of 2017 at Reus, the first club to whom he directed the following season and in which he managed to stay in a “comfortable way, setting a great campaign”.
Then he passed through the Numancia, managing to keep the rojillo team in the silver category -although the previous campaign the Soriano team had played the play-off for promotion to First division- and andLast year he ended up at Tenerife, club in which he was only sixteen championship days when he was dismissed after a bad run of results.
He is the fifth coach in four campaigns of the Skyline group, owner of the Albacete institution, through which they have passed José Manuel Aira, Enrique Martín, Luis Miguel Ramis, Lucas Alcaraz and now, López Garai.
