London will host NFL games in 2025 with the Jets, Browns and Jaguars as home venues

LONDON, Jan. 10 (dpa/EP) –

London will host 2025 games of the New York Jets, the Cleveland Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars during the regular season of the National Football League (NFL), the most important American football league in the world.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host the home games of the Jets and Browns, while the Jaguars will head to Wembley Stadium for their 14th visit to London as part of the franchise’s multi-year commitment to the United Kingdom.

“We look forward to welcoming the Jets, Browns and Jaguars to London as part of the 2025 NFL Internationals,” said Henry Hodgson, NFL general manager for the UK and Ireland. “This campaign will see us exceed 40 regular season matches in the capital, a testament to the role the UK has played in the growth of the game globally,” he stressed.

“The London games are a continuous catalyst for fan engagement all year round and we are focused on serving our 15 million fans, reaching new communities and driving growth in participation in flag football, which now sees more than 100,000 young people to play the game,” Hodgson added.

The Jets will play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the only NFL stadium built outside the United States, for the third time in five years. Jets president Hymie Elhai described it as “another great opportunity for our organization to consolidate our brand and our fan base in the United Kingdom, which we have cultivated over the past few years.”

“The success of the NFL International Games speaks directly to the growing global reach of the sport, and we are proud to continue as ambassadors of the game,” Elhai noted. And Jaguars owner Shad Khan expressed himself in similar terms.

“The game is the pinnacle of the incredible work we do every day at the grassroots level and I am proud that our JagTag flag football program will have reached more than 100,000 youth by 2024, helping to grow the sport of American football outside of the United States,” Khan stressed in this regard.

Each team’s opponents, match dates and times will be announced when the full 2025 schedule is released in the spring. Not in vain, the NFL will also play regular season games at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid (Spain) and the Olympic Stadium in Berlin (Germany), and other games and more international venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
