BARCELONA, Mar 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Villarreal CF player Giovani Lo Celso commented that they must go to Turin to play with “a lot of personality and head” against Juventus, in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, to try to go through and make the 1-1 of the first leg at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
“These games are about details, but we know that we have to play a long game, with a lot of calm and patience, knowing that we are facing a great rival. The team is doing very well, in a great moment, consolidating the idea. The important thing is go there and play with a lot of personality and a lot of head,” he said at a press conference.
Lo Celso stressed that the atmosphere in the locker room is very good and that the team is “very confident” and working the game well. “It’s going to be very difficult, against a great rival with a lot of history, but we have our tools to go there and get through the phase, which is what we all want,” he reiterated.
“They have a great squad, they are one of the best teams in Europe and we have to respect them a lot. We have to be attentive to what can happen, and the first leg is a learning experience for us. But tomorrow everything will happen differently, in their field they will try squeeze and risk more. We go with our weapons”, he said about how he sees Juventus.
Of course, he recalled that the ‘Yellow Submarine’ is not unknown on the European scene. “Villarreal also earned its weight in Europe, it is the current champion of the Europa League. The idea is to continue believing in the coach’s idea, suggest that the team play in the same way,” he appealed.
