Liverpool players 'hate' the spectacular new sports city

After 70 years of training at Melwood, Liverpool debuted their spectacular new sports facilities in Kirkby this season. The club has spared no expense to provide the first team players with all possible comforts and luxuries, however they are upset with the training center because of the wind and bad weather conditions.

Despite the fact that the Anfield men have spent 60 million euros in the brand new sports city, the players only fault the so-called AXA Training Center. Despite having three full football fields, two gyms, hydrotherapy rooms and a swimming pool, among other luxuries, Jürgen Klopp's pupils complain about the excessive wind it makes outside.

The sports town of Kirkby is situated in an area known as Windy Harbor, something that could have given some clue as to what the weather conditions are in this region, especially in winter, when they get worse.

As The Sun recounts, the players are bothered by the strong wind that is raging in the area. “The players hate the new sports city and would have preferred to stay in the old Melwood. There is nothing wrong with the facilities, it is just very windy. Much, much wind ”, highlights a testimony in that medium.
