Newcastle promise winter signings
The director of Newcastle United, Amanda steveley, has promised to Eddie Howe that will reinforce the workforce in the next winter market, given the bad start of the ‘Magpies‘ on the Premier League. The Newcastle, which confirmed this week the signing of Howe, next to last in the table, with five points, the same as bottom row, Norwich City, and with zero victories in eleven days.
“We are preparing for the winter transfer window. Normally it is not a market in which we would like to invest, because it is not where you find the best operations, but it is something important at the moment “Staveley told the club’s media. “It would have been an easy decision not to buy the club now and wait until after Christmas to see where the club was in. It would have been a safer investment, but we didn’t want that. We had to take the risk.”
The Newcastle manager, who is president of one of PCP Capital Partners, one of the club’s minority partners, also praised Howe, who has just joined the team and highlighted her desire to save the team. “We needed someone who wasn’t afraid to go down. He had a huge impact on Bournemouth and we were impressed with how much he accomplished with little investment.. It’s very easy to win a title if you have a lot of money, big infrastructure or a lot of people, but when you are limited in those things, that’s when the talent really emerges. “
