Lexus renews as official Davis Cup car

MADRID, 6 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the car company Lexus announced on Tuesday the renewal of their collaboration, under which the brand will remain the official car of the Davis Cup for the remainder of 2024.

“Lexus will become a title partner of the Men’s Tennis World Cup for the remainder of the 2024 season. The premium automotive brand has been a partner of the Davis Cup Finals since 2019,” the ITF itself indicated in a press release.

The statement said that Lexus “will provide official transportation for players, teams and staff at the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage events in September, as well as the Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga in November.”

“The entire Lexus range will be present, including the New RX, NX and NX Plug-in Hybrid, as well as the new 100% electric RZ and the hybrid UX, which, together with the brand’s new model, the New LBX, will have a prominent place in the tournament,” added the press release.

“Lexus joins the list of prestigious Davis Cup partner brands, including Dunlop, Joma, Quironsalud, Socios, Stake and UniCredit, all of which continue to support the world’s premier men’s team tennis competition,” the ITF said in its statement.

ITF President David Haggerty thanked Lexus for “once again placing its trust in the Davis Cup and showing its commitment to the success of the competition.” “We look forward to working with their team on-site during the 2024 Group Stage and the Final 8,” he said.

“The growing number of Davis Cup partners demonstrates the continued commercial appeal of the competition and we are excited to deliver further fantastic finals with them this year,” said Haggerty.

According to Mar Pieltain, director of Lexus Spain, “there is a real connection” between her automotive company and this long-running tennis competition, “with clients and fans looking for unique and unforgettable experiences, with Lexus taking center stage in mobility at one of the most exciting sporting events in the world.”

“Once again, the brand’s partnership with the Davis Cup demonstrates the union between the energy of one of the most important tennis tournaments in the world and the sensations of driving a luxurious electric or hybrid Lexus model,” concluded Pieltain.
