Levante and Valencia added a point in the game that marked their farewell to the season. They did so after drawing (2-2) at the Ciutat de València stadium, which once again welcomed spectators, in a number close to 5,000, exactly 439 after another LaLiga Santander match was played with an audience in the stands.
The clash lacked any significance, as both teams arrived at the same with the objectives met, that is, with the permanence already assured. That is why it was possible to see a duel without pressure, without tactical ties, which contributed to four goals rising on the scoreboard. Those targets were the highlight, but also the emotional moment that was experienced when in the 56th minute the Argentine midfielder Augusto Fernández was substituted, who after a long career and after two seasons in Cádiz, hung up his boots when playing his last game as a professional.
Also hung up, in his case the whistle, the Catalan collegiate Estrada Fernández, who on the day of his goodbye had an easy task, although in one action he had to be corrected by the VAR.
Some leave and others arrive, because in the same minute Álvaro Bastida entered the pitch, who at 17 years and nine days became the youngest player to make his debut in the Cádiz first team.
Regarding the game's script, it was Levante that opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a goal from Roger after a pass from the left side Toño, one that will cease to be a granota on June 30. Five minutes later, Negredo tied with a superb shot upside down. The goal was annulled in the first instance by Estrada Fernández, who considered that Iza crossed when the ball had already gone over the baseline, but González Fuertes rectified his colleague from the VOR room.
Already after half an hour, Akapo culminated a counterattack from Cádiz, who recovered the ball after a corner dribbled by Levante, while already in the second half, in minute 58, Melero signed a final draw after a good action from Bardhi.
In the end, 2-2 in the Ciutat de València, and Levante and Cádiz, friends forever.
