Leo Borg joins the Rafa Nadal Academy

The young promise of Swedish tennis Leo Borg (17 years) this week has joined the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar. Although his arrival in Mallorca was scheduled for a few months ago, it could not be done due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19. Leo has exercised these first days with intensity and enthusiasm under the orders of the technical team led by Toni Nadal, combining track training with physical preparation in the gym.

Leo, son of former world number 1 and champion of eleven Grand Slam titles Björn Borg, He already spent a few weeks at the Academy last year accompanied by his father. On his visit, Björn Borg spared no praise for Rafa and the Academy: “The level of training at the Academy is very good and I think they are doing a great job. For this reason my son has come to play here, I am very satisfied with it and I hope that many others will come in the future because the Academy is very good, ”said the six-time Roland Garros champion.
