Lenovo Tenerife wins the derby and Río Breogán and Coviran Granada look up

MADRID, 29 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Lenovo Tenerife won (70-86) the derby against Gran Canaria this Saturday on matchday six of the Endesa League, while Río Breogán, Coviran Granada and Joventut added victories to stay at the top of the table.

Las Palmas suffered the Tenerife assault in a derby that dyed the visiting team from less to more. Already the second quarter was a good warning (16-25) for Txus Vidorreta’s team and, despite the yellow effort in the third act, the Shermadini-Huertas duo ended up breaking the match in the last 10 minutes.

The Georgian center finished with 19 points and the Brazilian point guard, with 22, an artillery that ‘Granca’ lacked. Those of La Laguna recover from their first defeat, against Barça, to see themselves at the top of the table, while those of Jaka Lakovic remain 4-2.

In addition, on Saturday he confirmed that Río Breogán and Coviran Granada are beginning to take the pulse of the season, both adding their fourth victory. The Galician team attacked the Nou Congost with authority (70-106), from the knock on the table that meant the second quarter (9-24), in a team victory led by Scott Bamforth (23 points). For the people of Manresa it means staying in the relegation zone (1-5).

Meanwhile, the recently promoted Granada beat Monbus Obradoiro (93-89) to continue in the upper zone. After the defeat in Las Palmas, the Andalusian team recovered an important pace of play and confidence, with 19 points from Bropleh and 17 and 8 rebounds from Maye.

Following in the footsteps of the ‘Top 8’, Joventut beat Casademont Zaragoza (89-84) in extra time. The Catalan team had Ante Tomic’s decisive performance on their side (22 points and a PIR of 28), to achieve their third victory in a row.
