MADRID, 9 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The French soccer player of Atlético de Madrid Thomas Lemar suffers a post-traumatic muscle injury in the thigh, caused by a tackle in the match against Betis that forced him to perform excessive stretching, the rojiblanco club reported on Wednesday.

“Thomas Lemar has undergone radiological tests that have determined that he suffers a post-traumatic muscle injury to his thigh. The French international received a challenge in the match against Real Betis that forced him to perform excessive stretching, which led to said muscle injury “Atletico said in a statement.

The French footballer will join training with the group when the rehabilitation work and daily physiotherapy are over and the evolution of his injury is favourable.

Lemar’s absence joins those of Wass, Cunha, Kondogbia, Hermoso, Correa and Vrsaljko, the latter two also injured in the match against the Verdiblancos last weekend.
